Commitment Sunday: "It will take all of us!" - Sunday, December 6, 10:30 a.m.

posted 3 Dec 2015, 10:33 by Gary van der Meer   [ updated 21 Dec 2015, 05:15 ]

On this our first St. Anne's Commitment Sunday, we will present to God our intentions represented by our Commitment Cards as a special offering to dedicate our gifts to God's service at St. Anne's.

Please include your card in the collection on Sunday, December 6. We will still happily receive your card in the coming weeks. It's been a great journey beginning from learning to understand the costs of our church's ministry in a narrative budget.

In addition to my stewardship sermons, we have heard from our wardens. Dave Roeder and Marc Potvin began our campaign on Sunday, November 8, and Peter Gorman and Nathan Lemphers bring it to a conclusion with their sermon on Sunday, December 6.

In the meantime, we have heard from many of you, and are grateful for your stories of when you came to St. Anne's, why you decided to stay, what excites you most about our ministry, and your personal plans for your offering in the coming year. Thanks to Michael, David and Mary, Bill, Jorge, Jessica, Tola, Bernice, and James. These testimonies have been so meaningful and appreciated that we hope there will be more in the months ahead.

We look forward to giving you the results of our stewardship campaign in the coming weeks. It really will take all of us to support the work God is doing here at St. Anne’s. Thanks to everyone for your involvement.
