Dundas West takes to the Street! St. Anne’s is part of the first ever Dundas West Festival. This coming Saturday, June 8, will see us there! We have a booth on the north side of Dundas between Gladstone Avenue and Rusholme Drive. You will also see us on the main stage at Rusholme and Dundas at 1:00 p.m. The St. Anne’s Choir will perform a 30-minute slot of music ranging from choral religious music to Gilbert & Sullivan favourites. Come by the booth to pick up a postcard of our beautiful church, enjoy the other booths and shows, and see our performance!
Visit Dundas Street West on June 8, 2013 between 11am and 10pm for a full day of arts, music, kids’ activities, food, drink and shopping! This event will take place Rain or Shine.
Organized as a collaboration between the Dundas West BIA and the Little Portugal BIA with the support of Councillors Bailão (Ward 18) and Layton (Ward 19) and with the participation of many local stakeholders, the Dundas West Fest aims to unite businesses, residents and the many communities that together make up our neighbourhood in a car-free, participatory, community-inspired celebration of everything local!
Dundas Street West will be closed to vehicular and bicycle traffic as well as to public transit from Lansdowne Avenue to Roxton Road, just east of Ossington Avenue. Brock avenue, Dufferin Street, Dovercourt Road and Ossington Avenue will remain open.
[We were on Dundas Street in shifts from before the festival opened until late into the evening - talking to lots of people, cheering on the St. Anne's Choir performing at one of the stages, and spreading good news about great things happening at St. Anne's. Pictured: Michael with our church banner. We had new postcards as well as a big new banner for our table!]
