Fall Birdwatching Hike - Saturday, October 13, 9:00 a.m.

posted 29 Sep 2018, 14:30 by Gary van der Meer   [ updated 18 Oct 2018, 11:28 ]

Join us as we take an autumnal stroll down the Leslie Street Spit, to see the leaves as they turn colour and the birds as they turn south.

We will share rides (leaving from the church) to Tommy Thompson Park and walk the length of the spit, taking in the immense variety of bird and plant life (as well as eroded cement and rebar!) that flourishes there.

Bring a picnic lunch, a camera, water, and (if you have them) binoculars. Our visit will conclude with refreshment at a nearby pub before we drive back to the church. We expect to return to the church by mid-afternoon. Note that we will walk rain or shine!

We'll be leaving from the church parking lot at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Meet us at 8:30 so we can organize cars and passengers, and sign waiver forms.
