Harbourfront Paddling Excursion - Sunday, June 4, 12:00 p.m.

posted 13 May 2017, 07:24 by Gary van der Meer   [ updated 8 Jun 2017, 08:14 ]

Has the Paddling Together exhibition left you feeling inspired to hop in a canoe and hone your j-stroke?

Join us after service on Sunday, June 4 for an afternoon excursion down to the harbour front, where we'll rent canoes and take them out for a spin on Lake Ontario.

NOTE WEATHER UPDATE: The lake temperature has reached 13C, but the Harbourfront Canoe Club also pays attention to weather (rain) and winds. We are playing it by ear for Sunday. If Harbourfront isn't an option, we'll be canoeing in the Humber River. Toronto Adventures Inc rents canoes a short walk from the Old Mill TTC. Our time slot is 1:45 to 4:00 p.m.

**Please note that the cost of canoe rentals will come out to roughly $25/person.
Leaving from the church following the service. We will participate in refreshments in the Skey Room and then organize ourselves to head to Harbourfront.

Sunday, June 4, 12:30 departure from the church.

(In the Wyandot language, ontarío means "Lake of Shining Waters"!)
