"Our Approaches to Sin & Atonement" - Shared Education Event with City Shul: Monday, Sept. 15, 7:30 p.m.

Christianity and Judaism share some sacred writings and use some of the same theological terms, so you may wonder how different we are from each other. Here's an opportunity to find out. Our event is part of City Shul's observance of Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah. The evening will include presentations by Rabbi Elyse Goldstein and the Rev. Gary van der Meer on sin and atonement, as derived from our sacred texts, traditions and theologies, and as understood by our congregations. Ideally, we would have an equal number of participants from each community, who would meet in small groups to discuss the similarities and differences.
Please let us know if you would like to attend. We have a "cheat sheet" - a handout to help you to explore Christian approaches to these themes.

This event is hosted at City Shul. St. Anne's will be providing refreshments.
