Vincent - A Drama about Policing and Mental Health - Monday, September 30, 7:30 p.m.

We will hold a dramatic reading of the play Vincent by Toronto playwright Terry Watada to help our St. Anne's community to explore the issues raised in the recent police shooting of Sammy Yatim. Vincent, based on a true story of a schizophrenic young man from our neighbourhood, was produced by Workman Arts in 1993 and toured Canada, the United States, and Germany.

With guests from the Toronto Police and CAMH, we will continue with discussion and questions after the play concludes. While this reading is intended to help our own congregation to understand the issues, Workman Arts has invited our partnership in a future remounting of Vincent over several evenings for our neighbourhood. Please join us to familiarize yourself with the issues and to offer your input about this possible future initiative.

Monday, September 30, 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall, 651 Dufferin Street.
