Choral Evensong with combined Choirs - Sunday, March 22, 4:00 p.m. **POSTPONED**
Post date: Mar 4, 2020 3:25:34 AM
St. Anne's invites you to come and sing in a gorgeous place! Be part of the combined choir that presents a traditional Anglican Evensong from the Book of Common Prayer. Come practice at the group rehearsal and learn some great music.
The fourth Sunday in Lent is the traditional midpoint break from Lenten fasting, known as Laetare (Latin for "Rejoice"). We will rejoice afterward too! Put on the service and then stay for fancy refreshments. We welcome choristers! We also welcome newer singers. Yes, you really can learn this.
While Evensong is a treasured part of Anglican spirituality, it's almost forgotten. For some of us this is a special time to reconnect, for others a moment of nostalgia. It's also beautiful music that allows your spirit to soar.
