All are welcome to worship with us. We meet in our church hall, which is located on Dufferin Street. All are welcome! Our worship will also be live-streamed on our YouTube page.
Each month we host a free community dinner that is open to all. All are welcome to come and enjoy a meal and meet friends new and old.
We have a new date! Now set for May 31 from 10-12. Can you help us refresh our church grounds? We are in need of volunteers to help clean our church grounds now that the fencing is cleared away. We will provide coffee and goodies as well as garbage bags and tools to collect items. We simply ask that you bring along some yard gloves. Email don.beyers@saintanne.ca to let us know if you can help. We are so grateful for your help!

Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Anne’s Church,
On June 9, 2024, our beloved church building was tragically destroyed by fire. The impact of that fire was felt by you and friends near and far.
Now, nearly a year later, our parish continues its ministry, albeit in a new setting. From the ashes we rose and, with the help of countless people and faith communities across Canada and many other parts of the world, we’ve been able to begin the work of rebuilding. While we may not have a church of wood and stone as before, our church is much more majestic: it is formed of living stones, namely you, the people of God in this community, who stand as the pillars of faith and service.
Still, we must remember. For like our ancestors in the Hebrew scriptures, we’ve endured tribulation and have lost what was precious to us.
In consultation with members of our leadership and ministry teams, I share with you our plans for commemorating the church and for asking for the Spirit’s blessing upon us as we continue to write a new chapter of faith and service in this community.
We invite all of you, friends, neighbours, and members of our faith community to join us for two solemn occasions.
On Sunday, June 1, we will gather for Holy Eucharist at 10:30 as we do each and every Sunday. However, at the end of our Liturgy, at 11:30, we will process as a community to the front of the church for a special commendation service for the church. There, we will share our grief, offer prayers, and devote a period of silence as each person is welcome to leave flowers along the church’s walls. We decided on that day as it would be the one-year mark since we last celebrated Holy Eucharist in that church.
Then, the following Sunday, June 8, we will gather again to celebrate the great feast of Pentecost. Pentecost is often known as the birth of the Church, the time when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples in their time of grief and sorrow and empowered them to go forth unto all peoples, proclaiming the Good News of God’s new life for all. We will celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and ask God to bless us, our ministry, and the people of our community as we begin another 100 years of ministry. While we may have lost our beautiful building, the church continues on for it is you, God’s people, in this community. Our story continues.
All are invited to share with us in these times together.
I am grateful for the leadership and ministry teams for their thoughtful planning of these two occasions. We are blessed to have such wonderful ministers and leaders in our community.
We look forward to welcoming you all to these two sacred occasions. Until then, know of my prayers, and the prayers of our leadership team, for you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Fr. Don Beyers
Rector, St. Anne’s Church, Gladstone Ave.
Join us for Eucharist in the church hall and/ or for our commendation service at 11:30 in front of the old church. All are welcome. Please bring flowers to lay at the foot of the church.
All are welcome to join us as we ask God’s blessing and gift of God’s Spirit upon us as we mark the beginning of another century of faithful presence and worship in our community.
Each May a number of a churches in the city have special celebrations honouring Mary, the Mother of God, known as the Mary Festival. The celebrations take place on the Saturdays of Mary and go from church to church. This year, our friends at St. Matthias have invited us to join them in celebrating the Mary Festival. We will come together on Saturday, May 24, at St. Matthias Bellwoods for a sung Eucharist. All are welcome. Join us in sharing friendship with our neighbours at St. Matthias.
Once again, the parishes of the Parkdale-West Toronto Deanery will come together for a joint service of Evensong at St. Olave's parish in Bloor West and for a reception afterwards. If you would like to help bring some food to share with others, please let Fr. Don know.
Pray with us every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 in the chapel of the church hall. You can join us in-person or online on our YouTube page.
We are grateful for your continued support to our church community following the devastating loss of our historic church. Help us rebuild our ministry and create a church that reflects our faith through contemporary Canadian art and through ministry to all people.
You can contribute directly to us by visiting our Canada Helps page. We are most in need of support for our general fund, which helps us with our day-to-day operations. Consider setting-up a monthly donation as well.
Please share this widely. We are a church for all people and we will work together with the arts community to be a visible sign of who we are. We thank everyone for their care and generous donations.

One of the wonderful gifts of the Anglican Reformation was the introduction of morning and evening prayer for all Christians. Known as the Daily Office, the prayer is a simple time of praying the psalms and contemplating on a scripture reading or two. You can pray the Daily Office online or with your mobile device with apps such as Common Prayer Canada, which is the Book of Common Prayer for the Canadian Church, or the Daily Prayer app from the Church of England, which includes a contemporary version as well as the classic 1662 Book of Common Prayer. Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 in Dufferin-Grove Park or on YouTube as we pray morning prayer.
